The Biggest Losers
How it went yesterday at the Benghazi committee: It was actually pretty incredible. Has any serious presidential candidate had to undergo that kind of grilling, demonstrate that much sheer physical stamina and sustained intellectual discipline? The Republicans wanted to portray Hillary Clinton as a super-villain, and ended up making her look like a superhero.
But the real losers here are the reporters and centrist pundits who let themselves be played, month after month, by Trey Gowdy and company. I mean, anyone who took these chumps seriously has proved himself an ever bigger chump than they are.

Ecco come è andata ieri alla Commissione per Bengasi: è stato effettivamente abbastanza incredibile. Ma davvero un qualunque serio candidato alla Presidenza doveva sottoporsi a quel tipo di terzo grado, dimostrare quella vera e propria resistenza fisica e prolungata disciplina intellettuale? I repubblicani volevano rappresentare Hillary Clinton come una super malvagia ed hanno finito col farla apparire come una super eroina.
Ma in questo caso i veri perdenti sono i giornalisti ed i commentatori centristi che hanno permesso, mese dopo mese, di essere presi per il naso da Trey Gowdy [1] e compagnia. Voglio dire, chiunque abbia preso sul serio questi imbecilli, si è mostrato per suo conto più imbecille di loro.
